Centessa Pharmaceuticals plc shared details on its upcoming oral presentation at World Sleep Congress 2023, which will focus on ORX750, a drug in preclinical development for the treatment of narcolepsy and other sleep disorders.

According to the abstract, preclinical data shows ORX750 has the potential to treat patients with primary symptoms of narcolepsy type 1, as well as reduce excessive sleepiness in those presenting sleep/wake disorders with normal orexin levels.
In addition, Sarah Wurts Black, PhD, head of biology for Centessa’s orexin program, will co-chair a symposium at the congress focused on the development of orexin receptor agonists. ORX750 is an orally administered, selective orexin receptor 2 agonist.
