Working out is quite essential and there is no two-way about it even on weekends. That’s how Jasmin Bhasin views her workouts. The 32-year-old recently shared a view of her workout in the gym that included weightlifting.
“Some Sunday motivation with @_praveen_nair,” she captioned the post in which she can be seen doing a variety of exercises including with weights, bodyweight, and cardio.
Describing that exercises such as deadlifts and dumbbell clean and press are highly effective in strengthening almost all major muscle groups in the body, Varun Rattan, Co-founder of The Body Science Academy, said that such exercises help to improve strength in legs, gluteal muscles, core, back, shoulders, and arms. “Additionally, back extensions are great for strengthening the lower back, glutes, and hamstrings. For those looking to improve their grip strength and core muscles, hanging knee tucks are an excellent option. For individuals who are more experienced in exercising, incorporating box step-ups, box jumps, and jump squats into their routine can help to strengthen their legs and improve dynamic balance,” Rattan told indianexpress.com.
Bhasin’s trainer Praveen Nair also took to the comments section to share his appreciation for the fitness junkie.
“Jas … our favourite girl who is always committed towards giving the best efforts … so proud to be a part of your fitness @jasminbhasin2806”.
Impressed by her fitness commitment, Nikki Tamboli reacted with fire emojis, while Sussanne Khan commented, “wow Jas”.

If you’re looking to improve your strength and fitness, using free weights or resistance can be a safe and effective option, Rattan said. “These methods stimulate muscle development, which can lead to improved endurance, strength, power, and even stronger bones. Additionally, increasing your muscle strength can have a particularly positive impact on your overall quality of life,” shared Rattan.

A comprehensive physical activity plan involves performing both cardio and strength training exercises. However, one doesn’t need to incorporate these two in the same workout session, Rattan noted.
