The biological evidence further supports these findings, as these women also exhibited increased levels of cortisol, a stress hormone. However, the remarkable part is that when women lived in clean and orderly homes, they reported experiencing fewer episodes of sadness during their day. Strikingly, these findings did not seem to have a significant impact on men’s mental well-being.
