The coffee itself is a ground dark roast arabica bean with flavor notes of berries and chocolate. The addition of raw New Zealand Maunka honey gives the coffee a unique sweetness that complements the acidity of the coffee.
Many people think of honey as a generic commodity like sugar, but it is in fact, a complex food product with close to 200 components including sugar, water, proteins, vitamins, minerals and polyphenolic compounds (1).
