Community Hospital Fitness Pointe will mark its 25th year of helping people get and stay in shape.
The fitness center at 9950 Calumet Ave. in Munster will host a health fair and open house from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 4. Community Healthcare System invites both members and the general public to check out the newly renovated facility.
It’s long served the community with amenities like lap pools, therapy pools, saunas, steam rooms, a whirlpool and a gym.
Instructors will teach a course on “Getting the Most Out of Total Body Resistance Exercises” at 10 a.m., on “Decrease Your Pain, Improve Your Swing” at 10:30 a.m., “On a Roll: Foam Rollers Work Out the Kinks” at 10:30 a.m., “Pilates Reformer Basics” at 11 a.m. and “Raise the Barre: Learn This Workout’s Essentials” at 11:30 a.m.
Fitness Pointe offers a number of fitness programs, group classes, pool classes, personal training, physical therapy and rehabilitation services.

It also operates the SpaPointe full-service hair studio and spa.
