Day 1 of the 2023 Olympia World Fitness Expo here at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center was epic, and Day 2 will be even better with a larger crowd expected. The M&F crew is represented nicely once again with Frank Sepe, Don Saladino, Dr. Dwayne Jackson, and M&F editor-in-chief Zack Zeigler filming podcasts and covering the events.

Speaking of M&F, the brand-new print issue with Sepe and Saladino on the cover is being given away for free at the booth. We’ve also got a new print issue of Hers, so if you’re in the expo hall please stop by and grab a copy of each.
Just like yesterday, Bob Cicherillo is emceeing pre-judging on the main expo stage. The Olympia competitions taking place are Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini, and Wheelchair Olympia (including finals). Finals will be later tonight in the first four events.
Other competitions we’re following closely at the expo are the America’s Strongest Man and America’s Strongest Woman competitions produced by the Strongman Corporation. The final three events are taking place today: Dumbbell Series, Natural Stone to Platform, and Power Stairs.
As great as the expo has been, everyone’s looking forward to tonight’s men’s open bodybuilding finals. Will Hadi Choopan defend his Olympia title, or will someone like Samson Dauda, Derek Lunsford, or Brandon Curry pull off the win? Another interesting story is that Hunter Labrada, son of bodybuilding legend Lee Labrada, is competing and was included in the first callout in last night’s pre-judging.
In the meantime, we’ll be roaming the expo floor and trying out all the newest supplements and training equipment. Stay on muscleandfitness.com all day today and tonight for more Olympia competition and expo coverage!
