Founded in 1898, Saucony’s largely singular focus on running shoes has made the brand highly regarded by runners. The brand says this shoe is designed for everyday training and long distances. The shoes have maximum cushioning and a 10mm drop or offset, which refers to the difference in height between the cushioning in the heel versus the toe (10mm is on the higher end of the spectrum). The support level is neutral, as opposed to stable, meaning they’re designed for those who don’t overpronate.
The Triumph 21, which retails for $160, is the latest version of the shoe, which likely explains the discount on the Triumph 20. That said, the Triumph 21 is not drastically different from the Triumph 20, and it’s a continuation of one of Saucony’s most successful running shoe lines.
