Dickason case puts spotlight on maternal mental health

A psychiatrist with decades of experience treating perinatal depression and anxiety says the adversarial legal system is not well equipped to deal with cases involving mental illness.

Those working in the sector say the murder trial of Lauren Dickason for killing her daughters, six-year-old Liané and her two-year-old twins Maya and Karla, has put a spotlight on maternal mental health.
